#1.
Because of our dogs large
size, we have been asked many times if our dogs
are Shiloh or King Shepherds or are mixed with these
breeds?
The answer is, no, our
dogs are 100% German Shepherds. The following links
will explain the differences between a German Shepherd
and a Shiloh or King Shepherd.
#3. What is Pano?
Pano is an inflammation of the bone,
commonly referred to by vets as growing pains.
They will outgrow this. The following site provides
information on Pano: http://www.vetinfo.com/dencyclopedia/depano.html
or you can check with your vet for
further information. We guarantee all our dogs/puppies
for health, hips, elbows and temperament in
writing.
#4. We only register
our dogs with AKC (American Kennel Club) and
in the next couple of months we will be dual
registering our dogs with UKC (United Kennel
Club), and our dogs are of the old
German/American lines (no show lines). Be careful of other registries,
the following website will explain why:
http://www.dachshundranch.com/AKC_vs_pet_registries.htm
(the only recognized and reputable kennel
clubs are AKC (American Kennel Club) UKC (United
Kennel Club) and CKC (Canadian Kennel Club)
and FCI (Fédération
Cynologique Internationale ).
There are several disreputable kennel clubs
which have the same abbreviations as reputable
clubs to make people think they are legit, so
please watch out for them. For example: UKC
(Universal Kennel Club which is a disreputable
club). As you can see they use the same abbreviations
as the reputable club such as United Kennel
Club. When looking for a puppy please ask the
breeders which kennel club they are registered
with and watch out for the abbreviations.
