Briarwood German Shepherds has an extensive
Foster program. Since we do not believe in Kennels, and our dogs
live in our home as a member of our family, we made a decision
back in 1985 to foster our breeding dogs/puppies. We
only have 4 dogs that live in our home, because we feel that we
cannot give personal attention to more than 4 dogs. Our dogs or
puppies that we place into foster homes are given to
a family (with children) at no charge, and the dogs/puppies are
raised in a family enviornment. Our foster dogs live their entire
life with their foster families who love and cherish them. Most
of our foster families play an important part in the whelping
room, and help in socializing the babies. If you want to consider
adding one of our foster dogs/puppies to your home, you can call

a few requirements:
1. Must live within 65 miles of St Clair
County, Michigan.
2. Must own your own home.
3. Must have fenced yard.
4. Must be willing to socialize puppy/dog
by taking to obedience classes, take out into the public
(parks, schools, social events etc).
5. Puppy/dog is to be raised as part of the
family, not kept outside or in an outside kennel.
